He’s Home

Mohammad Qouchani was released from prison last night. Just like that, without notice, without a phone call, they let him go in the street around 12 midnight.
Today, Karoubi and Abudllah Nouri went to see him.
He said: “the first few weeks were very difficult. The interrogators thought that I’m the one who writes Mr. Karoubi’s letters. When I was able to persuade them that Mr. Karoubi himself writes the letters, things got better.”
Mr. Karoubi praised Qouchani’s resistance (Qouchani never made confessions) and said: “after your arrest, Mr. Abdi [Abbas Abdi] was taken into custody and questioned a number of times. Because they said that he’s the one who writes my letters.”
I’ve been wondering why Abbas Abdi is so silent. So that’s why …
Poor Karoubi. Nobody believes that he could write a letter himself!
Ebrahim Yazdi, the family of Ahmad Zeydabadi and a number of other activists were present for the meeting.

I haven’t seen him with a beard before. That streak of white hair, is that new? They say that odd patches of white are usually due to some traumatic event.
supp, I met him three years ago, there was no white in his hair. I also tried looking for his photos, and in all the ones I found, there was no white either.
But I don’t know how recent the pictures were.
