13 Aban @ Universities in Tehran

There were dozens of videos going around of 13 Aban yesterday. But these I found particularly intriguing.
This one is from Amir Kabir (Tehran Polytechnic). That girl is FEARLESS.
These two are from the University of Tehran:
In the first, the students bring down the Iranian flag and replace it with a green flag.
The second is a demonstration inside the campus. The sound quality is really good, and I must have watched it a dozen times.
All you can see is an ocean of green and the young, energetic sound of students.
And in this last one students are shouting: dictator-e goosaleh, bazi edameh dareh [this game will continue you big cow of a dictator] and basiji amadeh bash, 16 azar ham miyad [basiji prepare yourself, 16 azar (4th of December) is coming.]
I wish I had time to sit down and write about the collection of songs and chants people have come up with in the past four/five months. Some of them are so witty, heartfelt and precise.
There’s that video of people walking on a poster that has Khamenei’s face on it, some even making a point to stomp on it.
Lola, I’ve seen that one. But I didn’t find it particularly innovative
Also seen pics of coins thrown at security forces = “hirelings of tyranny”.

I agree, Pedestrian.
Something like, oh, finding that car in which Khamenei is being chauffeured around, forming a human chain around it and chanting something like “The Green Ribbon is surrounding you, don’t break it”.
Sorry . . . I had to try but I’m not good at witty chants . . .
Good luck with that one Lola – I don’t think I’ve ever heard of how they transport him from place to place. I mean, I’ve seen/heard the president, ministers, etc being escorted. But the leader? Never. I’ve always wondered how he gets from place to place.

And just in case you haven’t seen them already, here’s a link to a blog with some very dramatic direct accounts of what happened yesterday – including that of a shocked and horrified Khamenei-devotee who got repeatedly attacked by rampaging “security forces”!
All I can say is that my already great admiration for the bravery and tenacity of the green movement has increased even further – their courage is almost beyond belief!

‘diktator-e bichareh’ = ‘poor dictator’ in the last one (at least according to this version of the footage: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CBObaVdG9q0&feature=related ). but ‘cow dictator’ would be far more amusing.
A compilation of chants and songs, in farsi and translated- that’s a great suggestion for a post.
The Supreme Leader usually travels with an escort of at least six (probably more) members of the Ansar-ol Mahdi (IRGC special forces guards). I’d expect a motorcade larger than Ahmadinejad’s, which can be seen in his campaign movie. It would be interesting to know what types of vehicles are used.

I am severely disappointed, dismayed and shocked at the same time about this stunning ignorance of yours – to say the least. You seem to be in urgent need of some basic information on the heights and fields of Elysium and the abysses of Tartaros.

a) ANGELS are equipped with wings of the birdlike type, which they fly down to earth with when visiting you, often conveying some divine message straight from heaven

Pirouz, have you ever seen footage of his transportation? Mind you, they usually go to him, so he doesn’t move around as much as the rest of ‘em. Maybe that’s why I’ve never heard/seen it.
German, how do you know so much?! That William Adolphe Bouguereau piece was awesome! Will be great for one of my posts!
