I would say “Welcome” But …

I’m not so sure.
This is Farnik Mazrooie, the newborn daughter of Iranian jouranlist Hanif Mazrooie who has been in hiding post-election and whose website, Norooz, which is the news outlet for the Participation Front, has written some of the most important work to come out after the election. You can check out her weblog here.

The authorities are after him, and he has been in hiding for months now.
Who knows when or where Farnik and her dad will get to meet?

Hanif Mazroozi is also the son of Rajabali Mazrooie, the former MP who was in parliament during the reformist era.
Here he is seen sitting on the left, debating right-wing commentator and wise guy, Asadollah Badamchiyan in 2006.

Could you just tell me (us) : who is the author of the beautiful painting called ‘moon-sleeping’ ?
In general your posts are very interesting and informative, thank you for that work, but I really like to know more about the pictures.
Hey djirdjirak, thanks for dropping by!
If you ever want to know more about a picture, let me know. I usually don’t add the details as the posts are already dense!
This one is by Maki Horanai, an Australian/Japanese artist.
