Rajab Ali

From the weblog of Pouteen [boots]
I wasn’t that badly injured during the war. The bullet barely escaped me. It only affected my chest a little bit. Let me take you to the hospital to show you what the real war vets are suffering. They can hardly breathe. I was like that at first. My wife’s family sold their jewelery and gold and bought me this device from Japan. Now I’m good. I can drive a taxi easily. I did not even get the Traffic Card they gave to war vets [certain areas of in central Tehran are off-limits 9-5 except to buses, certain services, taxis and certain people like war vets who can apply for them and thus drive their own taxis]. I deal with god. It has nothing to do with them! [politicians]
… And these are the words of Rajab Ali, the war vet who drives a taxi and talks in a hissing tone. He doesn’t even know where the war vets office is in Tehran.
