Pedestrian’s Norouz Message ;)
Mar 19th, 2010 by pedestrian
Happy New Year!
Edydetoon Mobarak!
I hope this will be a year – with just a bit – of calm, tranquility, peace … for all, but most especially for the Ahmad Zeydabadis and Masoud Bastanis who were not released from prison for Norouz, who were not even permitted a short time with their families for new year.
Thank you for reading, commenting, emailing, giving me a few minutes of your time every day. For all of that, and much more, I will be eternally grateful.
See you in 1389!

all the very best in the new year
:)
oh but I’d like to thank YOU…………..not only for educating me on the political/religious and human rights situation in Iran, but also for giving a flavour of day to day life…showing a nation of people so rich in culture, history, fashion……..of delicious foods………..a people who delight in celebrating both traditional and religious events…….who are kind and compassionate and passionate, who are peaceful, thoughtful and forward thinking….who ask only to live their lives without the current daily oppression and restrictions that dictate pretty much everything they say or do………………………thank you……….V……
ایشالا سال جدید سال خیلی خوبی برای تو خونواده باشه!

Happy new year to you too! I found your blog the day rafsanjani gave his friday prayer (I was in a library but I could not concentrate and desperate to find a way to see what he is saying, I googled and ended up at your blog when you were typing the speech as he was giving it, it was wonderful), since then I have been reading your blog/ almost everyday/from 5 different countries/from (atleast) 8 different computers, and many many chairs
Happy new year, my friend!!!

inna, the same for you! Happy 1389!
I’d second what Kate said, most of all, for giving us non-Iranians a broader view. This blog has not been a supplemental to my Iranian news consumption, but one of my primary sources for that unique contribution.
A belated saal-e no mobarak!
