FarceNews, the ultra orthodox Ahmadinejad news outlet has a very interesting article today. This is the same source that has been printing article after article about the “basiji” and “martyr” Sane’ Jaleh. Among their other headlines today: “the sedition of 2009 has made violent crime and human trafficking skyrocket.”

I thought it would be wise to share, lest there are those of you out there who can save yourselves or your loved ones from this dangerous, life threatening disease.

The title is: “Users of Yahoo! Chat are most susceptible to the AIDS virus”.

The article goes on to tell us that:

“According to a recent study by researchers at Shahid Beheshti University [Tehran] those who use Yahoo! chat are composed of the most dangerously promiscuous parts of society, who have open, unprotected intercourse [what FarceNews considers "dangerous behavior which leads to AIDS"]. Studying the most important behavioral patterns and circumstances that cause AIDS can have a great effect on preventing the disease. However, no studies have been conducted so far”.

(if those sentences made very little sense, they don’t in Persian either).

The article continues:

“The survey instrument was a questionnaire consisting of four sections: demographic questions, questions related to general awareness, related to understanding and to dangerous sexual actions [premarital sex].

The Cronbach Alpha method was use, along with SPSS statistics software.

The respondents were 200 Iranian Yahoo! chat users who were randomly sampled and questioned in June and July of 2010.

Results show:

46% of respondents were between 20-23 and 72% were male.

81% of respondents said that they were single, and 76% live with their families. Only 45% believed to have knowledge of AIDS but only 15% demonstrated adequate knowledge.

28% of respondents had a correct view about AIDS, and 58.3% had demonstrated dangerous AIDS related behavior [sexual intercourse before marriage].

This study demonstrated that a wide variety of factors influence dangerous behavior in relation to AIDS. These factors include age, education, sex and father’s educational level.

The results from this study can be used to form a comprehensive plan to educate internet users and the public at large especially students who are prone to show dangerous behavior with regards to AIDS.”

So does that mean if I use Google chat instead, I will be AIDS free?
