Today in Pictures and Stories

Ayandeh News estimates about 1.5 million to 2 million participants for today’s Friday prayer.
WATCH THIS!!!!!!!!!! The man in charge of leading the chants loudly asks the participants to say Death to Israel and Death to America, Death to Britain but people respond with Death to Russia! He also invites them to say the blood in our veins is a gift to our leader but they respond with the blood in our veins is a gift to our nation.
No news on whether Khatami was there or not.
Abodllah Nouri was there. And he was once again tormented and bruised, like he was 11 years ago at that exact same location. As was Karoubi.
There are unverified reports of arrests. Shadi Sadr, the wonderful writer, lawyer, journalist and woman’s right activist was arrested on her way to the prayer. How many more pictures will I add to this page? (and it doesn’t even include the hundreds of faceless victims)
Tehran by location:
Before and after the prayer, tear gas was used on the participants around the University of Tehran campus.
But in Valiasr, there are reports of more violence, none of which have been yet confirmed.
The violence sounds less horrific than previous days, but consider this: it was a PRAYER ceremony. Tear gas may be better than gun shots, but not when people have gone to PRAY!!!!!!!

Mehdi Karoubi sitting in the front row. Majid Ansari, from the Association of Combatant Clerics can be seen in the second row leaning forward.
My buddy, Hasan Rowhani. Nateq Nouri, Emami Kashani.
Two of the best looking politicians in Iran.
The old guard: Mohsen Rezaie.
Zahra Rahnavard. I don’t know if you’ve ever taken a moment to glance more closely at pictures of her younger self to realize how utterly beautiful she is.
